29 Faces Days Three and Four

Last night was TV night so I decided to do some sketches in my art journal while setting in front of the Brain Chiller :) 

I was having a bit of a problem getting into the drawing on this first one. Looking at a magazine photo and watching a TV program was not working out well. 

The next one was better.....

No picture to draw from but I was watching one of those  Life in the Alaskan Frontier survival shows ...it definitely had some influence :0) 

Can you say "Baby it's COLD Outside!" ? 

Alaska is beautiful but I don't think I'm up for those sub zero temps at all.

Paint Party Friday and 29 Faces ...very late :)

Can You See Me? 

Still working on the mixed media that just won't end. Love how he has turned out ...but still not feeling like she is finished growing up yet. Will probably leave it alone for a bit and see what happens when I get back to her. 

This will also be my first 2 faces for 29 Faces in February. Only the 3rd day and I'm behind as usual but not stressing at all.  It will happen when it happens. 

Feeling at odd angles with myself these days. After 5 years of taking Cymbalta for my Fibromyalgia and not at all happy with how I feel still I have started a "ween off program" to put it in my past. So if I drop in and out just give me a bit to get this crazy drug out of my system and find out what normal is going to be for me.  Kind of scary but exciting too. Kind of like the idea of being in control of my health instead of just masking it learning to live with it. 

Now off to check out all of the great art posted so far :)

My Muse is on Vacation 

I'm sure she is somewhere amazing

Playing in warm ocean waves and trekking through lush  tropical rain forests... 

....absorbing all that Mother Nature has to offer.

Becoming one with the universe...

Spiritually growing by leaps and bonds! 

Temporarily leaving me alone....

struggling with this WIP...

...3 weeks and very little progress...wondering low long she will be gone and if I will ever get this Mixed Media thing done. 

I know she'll come home.... I think she's trying to teach me a lesson...

Will I learn?

Can you say

Late! LATE! Late!?!

I had such great intentions and started it early enough. And then that nasty flu bug that is getting so much attention in the news struck :0( 

I was down for the count...and just when I thought I was getting better it took off in a different direction and I was down again. 

So what started out as last weeks PRF 's work is now this weeks and is even late for that. 

This year I have also joined Guada's Circle 

and am participating in the 

Totem Animal Mandala Challenge for 2013. 

Here is my first Mandala 

The picture sucks...used my cellphone :0/

I re-purposed a 8 X 8 inch canvas that I had done an acrylic abstract on last year...using the abstract as the background. I did the Mandala in acrylics and India Inks. I had intended to put lettering at the top and will probably go back and do that when I'm more recovered.

Paint Party Friday!!!

I made it!!!

Two weeks in a row....just under the wire ...but I'm here again :0) 

With all of the sickness going on around here I didn't think I would make it at all. 

This is a mixed media with a water color background and acrylics paints. 

I'm calling her

 "FEVERED" 

Which is what we all are here.

SURPRISE!!!!

I know I've been absent and  THANKS  to those who have checked up on me.  Nice to know your missed ♥ 

It's just been an absolutely crazy fall for me. 

Some good and some not very good at all. 

I've been trying to juggle it all and stay somewhat sane in the process. 

Creatively I've been a crazy crocheting machine this fall. 

I FINISHED !!!... my 50 hats for charity challenge :0) and they have all been delivered. 

After that I started on family and friends projects to keep everyone warm this winter. 

I've made hats and scarfs, cowls and slippers, mittens and shawls. 

Warm and fuzzy  ♥ 

I have only done one painting project and it was a big one :0) 

Monday when I got to work they asked me if I would paint a doll house for charity. 

A special gift so some lucky little girl could have a magical Christmas.

So in 3 days this is what I accomplished...

I would have loved to have done more...but they did wait 'til the last minute to decide to do this. 

I think in January I will try to find another one and really deck it out for next year :0)
