Paint Party Friday and Butterfly Effect

It's Friday again and here I come ... sliding in at the last minute with my post for the week :0/
The theme at Butterfly Effect this week is
Frida!!!!
So here is my rushed piece....some week I am going to start early...I really am :0)

It's another 5x7 inch blank note card done with acrylics on watercolor paper.
Since Frida is the theme this week I thought I'd share a photo of my youngest grandson and a fabric doll I made his mom when she was about his age...
They have turned onto  Frida..

I love this  photo of him!!!!!

  4. I love your Frida - didn't get to do one this week. Instead I read about her - since I really didn't know much about her. I think you captured her well - with your own twist. She was a brilliant but strange lady and I think the thorn necklace is a fabulous "accessory" for her.

  6. The doll was my first attempt at soft sculpture faces. I use a polyester fabric that was too heavy ..thus the wrinkles. The bright side is the doll is over 30 years old and still looks great :0)
