Saying Goodbye to 29 Faces :0(

It's been an absolutely crazy week here! It started with the crazy apple harvest and 3 days of cleaning and  cooking apples into applesauce and pie filling.
Work got all weird and my schedule got completely changed and not in a good way at all. I started feeling really tired and stressed out and had to make some decisions about letting some things go for awhile at least until I get myself built back up a bit.
So I won't be trying to complete the 29 Faces in September challenge and I won't be pushing myself to get an unreasonable number of crocheted hats done by the end of Oct. It was very hard for me to let go of these things because I love doing them so much. I just don't have the strength and energy to do it all right now.
So here is probably my last entry for 29 Faces in Sept. I will be checking out everyone else's faces so I'm not going away :0)
She's a work in progress :0)

29 Faces in September Face 9

While getting ready for bed last night  I had a Light Bulb moment :0)
I had recently splashed bleach on one of my favorite work shirts and had kept it to some day paint something on it.
Cotton Candy Girls to the rescue!!!!!!!!
They are perfect for painting on a shirt...so I dashed back into the  ART & GUN room...
(hubs and I share a spare bedroom for our hobbies) and drew her out on the shirt. I then gave her a coat of primer and at that point forced myself to go to bed. It was way after midnight.
I jumped out of bed bright and early this morning and finished her up. Now I'm hoping she dries enough to wear to work today.... just like a kid...can't wait to wear something new...even when it's something old :0)

29 Faces in September - Faces 5 and 6

While Straightening up my art desk this morning I found a note to myself..."Do Natasha's Cotton Candy Girls classes!" Another online class I signed up for..paid for and downloaded all of the info...and then proceeded to get busy with summer stuff and totally forgot about it. Well I did do the first class... but heck if I can find it! Probably went home with one of the Grand-kiddos :0)
So today I did the next two girls ... Natasha May these are just totally adorable and I'm so glad I found my note :0)

Both of these are painted on 6 x 6 x 1 inch square piece of oak wood. More free scrap lumber ;0)

Paint Party Friday and 29 Faces in Sept

I started a whole different piece this morning for PPF...but it just wasn't happening :0( I couldn't concentrate....couldn't draw and just out and out wasn't in the mood for it.
So I decided to work on backgrounds for my journal to see what happened there.
Things went more smoothly there :0)
After doing several pages I decided I wanted to work on this one.

I had glued a map of our town and surrounding areas to the page and then colored over it with soft pastels and matte gel medium.
Then I painted a face in it...no hair or body...just a face floating in the color.
Kind of how I've been feeling the past week....
I let it set for several hours and came back to it. I decided it wanted feathers for hair :0)
I have a nice collection of feathers I've collected while working and playing in the yard...No way was I using any of those....so I arranged several of them on my scanner and then printed them. I tore them off the paper and then glued them down with more gel medium.
All in all I like it and now that it's done and posted maybe I'll get out of my "fibro funk"  and feel better.

Maybe if I spent less time drinking wine through a Twizzler  at concerts....

... and more time concentrating on my art..I wouldn't get in these 'fibro funks'
But the concert and time with my daughter was worth it !!! :0)
