Art Everyday Month----Day 19

Here we are.... over half way through the month and I'm still hanging in there!  I wasn't at all sure if I could keep up and I'm quite proud of the fact that I have. The real test will be next week with the holiday. ...With a little bit of extra planning I may be able to stick to it then too.

Todays posting started out as a doodle on a scrap of bristol paper. I decided I liked the tree and wanted to develop  it more so I glued the scrap onto a ACEO (2 1/2 X 3 1/2 inches)  size pad and started filling in the color. Just a little drawing to keep my hands busy while listening to the TV.

Before and After..WIP that are finally done :0)

Decided to clean up the studio one more time and sort out WIP that needed to be finished and those that just need to be forgotten :0)

Forgotten goes into a box that I'll go through one more time before I paint over, toss or use for kindling. 

I did want to show you the sign I finished for work. The first one was posted earlier this week the second one is the finished sign.

I also ran across the Surreal Eye that I forgotten about and finished it while watching TV

I think the additional coloring in the iris gives it more dimension. 

Finally starting to feel better after the long term case of the "Cruds" ....otherwise known as a virus that just won't go away.  

I laid down for a nap at 3pm yesterday and got up at 8am this morning. So I'm feeling rejuvenated :0)

Art Everyday Month----Day 15

This is what I have been working on the last 2 days at work. The "HR" sorta type person asked for it and described what she wanted. A co-worker and I sketched it out and she approved then I started painting. Now that it is almost completely done she has changed her mind and wants more of a full body character holding a sign. }:0(

I'm sure that by tomorrow I will have figured out a way to make her happy without redoing  the whole thing. I HOPE! This one is 3 ft tall and I really don't want to start over. 

So this is my art for today..she says curling her lip....

The Goddess

My Goddess doesn't really have a name..... she's kind of a composite of what I would want to look like if I was a Goddess. Long and flowing hair....I've always wanted flowing hair. Instead I was blessed with beautiful tight curls that defy all control. 

My goddess is fierce and in control and has the energy of fire. She wears blue because white is just to darn boring and innocent is not my goddess. But she loves fiercely and will fight to the death for those she loves and protects. 

I've done her in colored pencils, ink and water color.

Art Everyday Month---Day 12 and 13

Working on Christmas cards this week... it will be here before we know it :0) 

These are done with Prisma colored pencils and Ink . 

Since I don't send out many cards anymore I tried to make them all myself.  This should  help me get thru the rest of November art challenge.

It's Veterans Day...

Honor our servicemen and women who serve to protect us and those who have in the past.

The Veterans Day display my boss and I did at work yesterday.

The painting in the center was done on 9 X 12 ft. canvas painters tarp. .

Here's a watercolor and ink painting I did in 2008. Took an outdoor class with my daughter. It was so much fun and I learned to relax with watercolors :0)

Art Everyday Month---Day 10

Sending Sunshine 

Still feeling under the weather from a virus and just needed to take a day off from ....oh most everything :0)

So todays picture is a card I drew for a friend who was dieing of cancer .....not a get well card but I'm sending you sunshine and warmth card. She passed  a few days later but she had called to tell me she loved the card and it made her smile. I felt good knowing I had given her a smile in her final days.
