It's Friday again!!!!
Time for two of my favorite challenges.
Every week I say I'm going to get down earlier and it never happens. Something always happens and I rush in at the last minute.
So here I am again squeaking in at the last minute.
This weeks challenge at The Butterfly Effect was:
"STAR TREK"
This has been one of the most fun projects I've done in a long time.
It's a mixed media project to the max and I think my oldest grandson is going to really like this one.
First I did the background using two of those fantastic tint patterns I'm alway taking photos of at work.
I printed them on tissue paper and glued them to a 12 X16 inch canvas board.I tried really hard to draw a good "Enterprise" but after several failed attempts I printed one on another sheet of tissue paper and glued it to the picture.
Then came Capt. Kirk :0) he turned much better than my space ships.
So I'm linking this to:
and
Great picture, and your Kirk is unmistakable! Valerie

ReplyDeleteIt turned out wonderfully!! Carol I started out on your blog yesterday evening and got called away without commenting!! I wanted to say I am the same as you, every week I hope to be first in line to post earlier, but I'm always late..
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday to you!

Captain Kirk looks great! What wonderful effects you created, it's a very nice piece and interesting conceptually.
ReplyDeleteI love the cool background! I'm a new follower and hope you'll follow me too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! If you don't mind my asking, how do the white Uniballs do with writing over (dry) paint? I've found gelly roll pens do fine, but I'm tired of ruining all my Sharpies :)
ReplyDeleteI love your Trekkie inspiration- how fabulous!!! And what an amazing gift for your grandson!
ReplyDeleteAwesome painting!! Love all the effects and the colors!
