Paint Party Friday

What a crazy week here!
Lots of crazy weather and rain and then more rain.
Two huge branches broke off our big Maple tree and nearly wiped out my tuck .

Luckily there was no damage !!!!
The Monarch Butterflies have visited and my tiny little milkweed plants are being devoured by the hungry critters.
I have 34 caterpillars inside and there are over a hundred outside. The most every in my butterfly garden.
So between yard clean up after the storms and feeding caterpillars there has not been a lot of art.
I have one painting that is nearly complete  .
Don't know when she will get done as this next week will be filled with deep cleaning as I have family coming to visit next weekend.
The house has been grossly neglected the past few months with my back issues so lots to done for the visit.
Thanks again to Eva and Kristin for keeping us together all of these years!!!!!
It's much appreciated.
Today's Random thoughts.

So now it's time to visit the other folks at

  1. Hi Carol! I am so happy for you that the branches didn't cause damage to your truck. It is always a shame when nature destroys beautiful trees.
You are such a kind person to help these beautiful Monarchs to survive...thank you.
Your painting is gorgeous, finished or not! Love the design and the colors, too!!!
    Have a lovely PPF~

  2. Your painting is gorgeous! I love it and to me it looks finished. Your caterpillar hobby is fascinating to me. What an education that would be for children to experience! Thankfully, your truck escaped damage from the broken maple limbs. We've had quite a bit of wind and rain too.

  3. Beautiful art, and good to see all those caterpillars wiggling along, you're doing a great job there. Take care of yourself with all that work to do! Happy PPF, Hugs, Valerie

  4. Glad your truck is okay! We have only had one bad storm and it was early morning yesterday. Shame about your Maple. Been raining here all morning and we have had a lot of rain. More rain tomorrow and Sunday. I am tired of the rain but I know we need it. So happy about your butterflies and caterpillars! Beautiful art. Good luck on the cleaning... I am not motivated to clean and I have been lucky to get the laundry done.

  5. I like your painting! She appears strong and intense and her background is gorgeous. I feed caterpillars also. They devour my passion vine each year and then I have beautiful butterflies for the rest of the summer. Happy PPF

  6. Your painting is wonderful and hope your back is healing ~ have similar back issues and sounds like we had the same weather too ~ thanks for sharing a bit of your life as well as your beautiful artwork ~ thanks,

  10. That is an amazing painting. Makes me think of Alice in Wonderland and the queen for some reason. And sounds like you were lucky when those branches came down. Things could have been so much worse. Happy weekend. Hugs-Erika

  14. wow, you really have had an exciting or scary week. I imagine that bringing caterpillars in the house is an exciting experience but also a big responsibility to see that their needs are met. How wonderful.

Your art is a charming piece. The colors and details are delightful.

  15. Sweet princess ... Love her collar! what a shame about your Maple tree. You sure were lucky not to have your car damaged. Must've been scary .... Looks like you'll be having lots of butterflies :-)
