I started this on Thursday night and somehow got distracted and forgot to finish. So something that was going to be early is now late again.
It's been busy, busy, busy here. With the on going battle to stay ahead of the weeds and the garden that seems to never get completely planted no matter how late the season is getting.
Art is just having a bit of trouble finding time to get any work done on it. :)
I did finish one painting though so it's not a complete loss.
For me summer is always lost in the flowers and veggies and I rather like it that way :)
Just a few random thoughts.

Good Morning,Carol! Well we got rain. An inch and a quarter three days ago and a little over a quarter of an inch last night. More coming today. I hope you got some rain, too! I think getting lost in flowers and veggies is a good thing to like... :) We have grilled the first of our green beans and they were delicious. We have... had two teeny tomatoes, CH ate them before they made it in the house. Love all your flower pictures! Your last random thought... oh yeah!
ReplyDeleteYour painting is beautiful, love the white patterning in the background, too. Your garden is looking great, I know it means lots of hard work for you. Happy PPF on Saturday, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLove the painting, Carol. Also, your flowers are so beautiful. When you show shots of your gardens I always wish I could see them in person.
ReplyDeletegorgeous painting Carol!!! Love how this turned out along with all the white doodling in the background! Your flowers are always so beautiful, but then, you DO work for them:) Happy PPF and weekend too!
ReplyDeleteI love how you doodled in the background and brought the figure out that way. Very clever and interesting technique. A garden really is a lot of work, I can relate ;-) Here the weeds are growing so high, it's really frustrating how fast it goes. Your garden is looking beautiful though ...
ReplyDeleteAn absolutely brilliant painting Carol! Well done, I love all the work you've put into it.
ReplyDeleteI can see what a beautiful garden you have. It's so nice to look back on the things you've done for it. Love your pot plants too.
Cheers and Happy PPF!

I must get back to my weeding! Happy PPF to you :D
Lovely post and a beautiful painting.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely painting - I love the technique you've used with the colourful doodled background against the white line work.
ReplyDeleteI hear you about the weeds - It seems I've no sooner cleared them from springing up between the gravel in our driveway than they're right back there taunting me!!
Congrats on being the featured artist on PPF by the way!!
Lovely! It's *finally* dinner here in Oregon, and as you say, the gardens never fully planted, and the weeds ... Happy PPF and congrats on being featured!

I love your painting and had to pin one of your quotes. It's raining here in NC and all I can think is YAY, I won't have to worry about watering the garden, lol I feel your pain on the weeds....I can feel the rain making them grow as I type this, lol Congrats on being featured in PPF...see ya there tomorrow...unless your out in the garden!
ReplyDeleteA lovely piece indeed. I feel all the colors of summer had found their way into your painting. So the time is not all lost in gardening :) By the way i prefer to spend much time on gardening, too. Happy PPF and happy summer :)
