Art Everyday Month

I've decided to try extremely hard to create something everyday for the month of November. I'm hoping by participating in this challenge I'll get myself into the swing of everyday art. 

This is a card I drew for a friend as part of an art swap. I'm late for this swap so I had to whip up a couple of extra goodies for her to make up for it :)  Sorry Kathy I really haven't forgotten you.

Living in Pain

It's a representation of the daily pain that victims of Invisible Deceases live with. It's something that is very close to me and I deal with everyday of my life.    

Things are really changing for me this year and I'm pretty sure that one more major change is about to happen that is scary but I think it will benefit us more once the adjustment is made. 

I'll share more details soon...have to talk to a couple of the players before I can say what it is.

Paint Party Friday.....Week 33....

I'm trying hard to embrace the change in the weather.....I'm a summer person at heart and it's hard for me to accept. I love the beauty of fall but don't like the cold weather that kills all of the beautiful blooms of summer. 

This is another mixed media painting.

The background is watercolors the big leaf colored pencils and the fall scene at the bottom is magazine pieces and acrylic paints. It's done in my art journal so it will be staying with me :)

Try as I may I just can't seem to get these challenges completed on time. I thought I was going to make it with this one .....however I'm not happy with the details on the iris so I'm going to work on it some more. 

This one is done with colored pencils and ink on 9" X 12" paper.

Paint Party Friday.....Week 32....

Work has kept me very busy this week painting projects for them. So I didn't get to do any personal projects at all :( But hey....I did get to paint! 

The first was another Pink Panther sign..,

 He's about 4 feet tall and 2 1/2 feet wide and goes on an insulation display.

The next was and apron for a Big Shot Visit from Corporate . Our store had won an award and they threw us a party to celebrate.

The apron I actually got to work on at home and bill my hours and supplies. No interruptions and I could be more detailed with the painting. 

Hopefully I will be able to do more and more of these projects for work and spend less time on the floor !

Mythical Woodland Creature  

This is a mixed media painting done on 9"x12" watercolor paper.

It's been a crazy week here and I was beginning to think I wasn't going to get a chance to do any painting.....thankfully I squeezed in a few minutes here and there to get this done in time :)

Paint and tint and funky photos......

I don't remember if I've mentioned it before but I work in the paint department at Home Depot. I enjoy the job especially when I get to get creative with mixing colors and custom matching for customers. 

Also one of the bright stars in my day is when I add the tint to a gallon of paint and it makes a unique abstract design in the paint. 

Now that I have a decent camera on my phone I'm able to take photos of some of the designs. I'm thinking of using them in a collage type painting or maybe some as background for some mixed media work. 

Anyhow I thought I'd share a few with you all here. I think they are soooooo cool!
