Paint Party Friday

Almost missed it again this week...just too much going on around here and everywhere to keep up. 

Didn't get much done in the way of art in the past two weeks. Still have issues with my eyes...for some reason the inflammation of the cornea is getting worse instead of better so they have added more kinds of eye drops and increased the frequency  of use of the others. So I'm putting something in my eyes every hour now. It does seem to be helping though as the pain has decreased but the vision hasn't and that could be because of the cataracts that they can't fix until the inflammation is gone :( 

I did get a little bit more work done on one of the paintings that were supposed to be Christmas gifts but didn't get finished :( 

"Little Man" thinks it's coming along nicely so hopefully he's right :)

Paint Party Friday

It's Friday!!! 

I'm having major issues with time slipping this year....and I  can't believe that Christmas is next week already !!! I have absolutely no decorations up and very few gifts bought..... Scrooge is running rampant through my veins this year :(  Hopefully I'll get it together in a day or so and at least do a marathon shopping event. I'm feeling like decorations are going to be non existent in my house this year. Too little time and not enough energy. 

For this weeks art I took one of the faces from 29 Faces in September 2013...

I added a blue and brown background...

... then painted the face in shades of blue... and proceeded to forget to take that photo :(

I did the rest of the painting leaving her a little darker than I normally do  and I'm calling her..."Feeling Blue" 

Guess she has a little bit of Scrooge in her too :) 

I've also done a few pencil sketches this week and some crochet projects... so I have been busy ..

I also made a big pot of to die for Chile this week.....YUMMY best I've made Chile and I  can't believe it's all gone already :(  It's a blustering 5º out there today and a hot bowl of Chile sounds real good right now. Guess I'll have to make a big pot of soup today to make up for it's loss.

Paint Party Friday.....and a Blah..Blah.... week

Can't believe it's Friday again.... and this has been one of those weeks that just hasn't flowed at all :( 

Tuesday I got my "Holiday Mail for  Heroes" cards sent out....tons of laundry done and started a couple canvas' and the rest of the week I've pretty much just stared at them and wondered what I was thinking... I have to have a Christmas centerpiece done by tomorrow and it's it worse shape than the canvas. 

So here are the two canvas I have going....

Feeling underwater treasures with the first one and kinda liking where it's going...

...then there's flying with fish.... which has me totally baffled..... 

...on the brighter side ...I delivered my crocheted hats to Big Brother Big Sister last weekend. Actually I delivered them to my daughter-in-law who works there 

;) ......

I brought in some milkweed pods to do some nature art at some point.... 

one of them popped open and now I have these silky little fluffs on my desk... they are too pretty to clean up but I guess I should before the cats discover them :) 

....today's random thought...

The world has lost a great leader this week.

Art Every Day Month----THE AFTERMATH !

My art desk.....

It's in desperate need of some TLC and probably a large waste basket :( Going to start on that as soon as I get back from the post office and grocery store.

 Thanks to some of my co-workers I will be mailing out 32 cards to the "Holiday for Heroes" program today. I work with some pretty amazing people ♥

I'm trying to keep up with daily art...but working on larger canvas right now so nothing completely daily. 

Trying my hand at intuitive painting on a larger scale than I've done before and then will go with a really big one and just have some fun. Here's what I'm working on now...

Kind of feeling a little congested today so I made up batch of my favorite herbal tea bags to get my through the next couple of days. Along with some immune boosting tinctures and sinus rinses I'm hoping to nip it in the bud .

Already miss all of you folks from AEDM ...can't wait til we all do some other challenge together:)
