It's Friday again and I actually have art to share. Seems I'm only getting here every other week this year. But I check everyone else out every week :)
This weeks art is a 5x7 inch card that I made to send my daughter.
She is an avid fan of the Grateful Dead and even followed them on tour the last year that Jerry Garcia was alive. Memories for life were made that year. Now she's all grown up and married with kids and has gone back to school and is now working on her Doctorate Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Our schedules are so busy that we don't get to see each other often and I've really been missing her a lot the past 2 weeks. A road trip is in my near future!
Here's the art...
Still spending most of my free time outside these days. Here's a few shots of what's blooming this week.
This is the only Iris I have left blooming and it just happens to be my favorite :) I'm thinking that this fall I am going to plant some re-blooming Iris .
My Rose's are a little worse for the wear this year. The trellis these climb on broke in one of the late winter storms we had this Spring :( and I haven't gotten around to replacing it yet. So much repair work this year after such a brutal winter.
Even the peonies only had a few blooms... but they were beautiful .
I've started a new Wisteria Vine , growing up and around an old basketball hoop.
I started it 3 years ago from a runner off my big vine out back and this is the first year it has bloomed. I've trimmed it up some and wrapped it around the hoop more since these photos but it's pouring outside so no new photo. It does look much better and I have a bigger concrete pot to replant it in. I'm hoping it starts looking more like a tree soon
The bleeding hearts are one of the few shade flowers that survived the winter. Most of my hosta's didn't :(
So that' s it for the flowers .
Todays thoughts....
