Paint Party Friday

The end of an absolutely crazy busy week here. So very little art time but did get the Funky Chicken done... I think :)
Here is where it was last week...
 ..then it went to here....
...and now this is where it is....

I may or may not add to it.
I was out of town most of the week. A trip to my daughters house and then a flying trip with her and my grandson to Kentucky Lake to visit with my ailing uncle and my parents.
We had to cut that visit short as my daughters dog woke up ill on Wed. and was dropped up at the vets for observation... the vet called just a couple hours after our arrival at my uncles and said it was critical and that some serious decisions had to be made. We drove right back just in time as the test results came back and the poor dog had multiple cancer tumors in and around her spleen and liver and she was bleeding internally. They said that the survival   chances were extremely low and she would be in a lot of pain. So they chose to put her down. She was 11 years old and had had an extremely healthy and good life up til then. Everyone was devastated of course.
She was my daughters best buddy....
...a extremely happy dog who loved to hike...
 ...and run in the woods.
This was here just as we dropped her off at the vet. You can tell she was in pain .
She was the best and will be greatly missed by all.
The garden is going crazy and I'll share those photos later....
Today's Random Thoughts

  6. So sorry about your daughter's dog. Very hard to make the decision to let them go but I always feel some peace when I know the dog or cat has been loved and respected through its life right to the end. Your daughter's dog was lucky to have that love. Love the funky chicken. Glad you were able to make the trip.

  7. Love your funky Chicken so fun!! So sorry about your daughters sad. It's so tough to put them down, but she did the right thing, and there is peace knowing that! I hate to see an animal suffer!! They love us so much!!

  8. The funky chicken just gave me a great laugh! My thoughts are with you over the huge loss. Our dogs are our family and losing a family member leaves such a hole. Cherish the memories, allow yourself to grieve.

  9. Bye bye sweet dog. Have a formal memorial for her. And great funky chicken.

  10. Oh, that is such a sad story about your daughter's dog. It is so hard saying goodbye to these furry companions. It's good that you managed to make some funky art. Love that chicken!
