Paint Party Friday

It's Friday again and I don't have a lot to show for painting this week. It's been a week of working the closing shift and we are now open until 10 pm . I just never seem to adjust to that shift and can not get anything at all done at the house :(
I did work on a few background pages... adding more texture and designs to pages I had cleaned the brushes on previously.

Some of them I"m really liking and others still need  a lot of work. It's relaxing to just randomly add paint to a surface.
These are the lunch time doodles for the week  :) Most of my meal breaks were spent napping this week.
Random thoughts for this week are....

  9. Hi Carol,
Love your background pages, the doodles and the quotes.
I never forget how I used to wish for more family and creative time when I held a job. These days I am very lucky to be retired and having the time to do as I like but instead of work stealing my time away my health is the thief.
There will always be some kind of diversion but our passions will always find a way out even if for a little while.
    Hope your hours get better.

  10. Oh, I can imagine you can't get anything done when you work those hours. It's a good thing that backgrounds are quick to make, isn't it? Love your delicate lunchdoodles, and the quotes this week are wonderful. I especially love the second one.

  15. Sorry I'm late getting here this week. I've found myself coming and going, which is never a good thing.

I'm a sucker for backgrounds and these are awesome. Of course, when they are that pretty, I hate to cover them. You did a great job with the various layers over previous layers.

Really enjoyed your random thoughts, too. STRESS. I can understand and relate to that one!
