29 Faces in Feb 2014 and Paint Party Friday

It's FRIDAY!!!!

Today is the last day of 29 Faces and I actually managed to get them all done.  So here are the last few faces  and then a recap of the whole month...:)

The whole month of faces in recap...

It's been a busy month and I've had a lot of fun and once again learned a whole lot. I also met a new group of very talented and friendly people and that is always the best part of these :) 

So now to catch up on the classes and other challenges I've fallen behind in.

So for today's  thought  I'm going for humor this time...cause it was one of those days at work that are harder to get through than you really want.

29 Faces in Feb 2014

Perhaps a tad bit of cheating here but Faces 21 and 22 are completed WIP's that I posted yesterday. They each have several more layers  so I'm listing them anyhow :) The goal here is to create every day and that's what I did.

I tried to make her less serious but it didn't work. I guess she just has a lot on her mind.

I like the changes in this one... subtle changes but they make her more youthful

Friday...

... an absolutely glorious and sunshine filled Friday ♥♥♥♥♥

My Spirit is restored .

Winter has really dragged on way to long for me this year and I find myself feeling down and grumpy and out of sorts all the way around. The past 3 days have done much to improve that mood....Thank you so much Mother Nature!

 This weeks art is an odd assortment of catch up with challenges that have fallen behind ...it's hard to stay creative when you're all out of sorts :( 

So I have some completed works and some WIP works to share.

Day 16 in 29 Faces in Feb 2014

a 4x6 inch acrylic painting. 

Day 17 

A 5x7 inch acrylic and ink painting....

Day 18

A ACEO size pencil drawing...

Day 19

A WIP piece that was a pencil sketch for the Sept 2013 29 Faces challenge and I"m now painting it with acrylics. 

Day 20 

Another WIP that is  a new sketch that I"m trying to paint in acrylics... it doesn't seem to want to be painted so I keep putting it aside and work on something else for a bit and then come back to it for a little bit more. Hopefully it will get finished before this challenge is over :) 

I have a few lunch time doodles that I did get done this week too....

29 Faces Feb 2014

Days 13 - 14- 15 

It seems that Mother Nature has decided to stay in winter mode forever here .... It's supposed to warm up this week ...but first we have to have more freezing rain and sleet. Then a few days of above freezing temps that will at least hopefully get rid of some of the snow and ice. Even when I try to draw the Sun she comes out confused looking :) 

 I'm not happy at all with the coloring on the next one and will probably rework it at some later point... it doesn't always pay to paint at night in low lighting while watching TV :) 

So to make things all bright and happy again I did another Cotton Candy Girl  ♥ 

Looking forward to another fun week of art and maybe even some fun weather :)

This weeks painting is and Abstract I did for 

Journal52.

"BLAZE"

It's done on a 9X12 inch canvas paper with acrylic paints. 

I've been doing a lot of art this week....

 .... A Zentangle Bird in the ACEO size...

...and trying to catch up with the 29 Faces in Feb2014 Challenge.

Now that my eyes are finally getting better I can work longer periods of time with out causes distress to my eyes!!!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥

Now if I can avoid catching every little germ that flies by this year I think I'll be able to do all of the creative things I've been dreaming of doing :)

29 Faces Feb 2014

Days 10, 11, and 12

Day 10 is an ACEO done in acrylic paints 

Day 11 is another pencil sketch in my journal...

...and Day 12 is a WIP sketch that I will probably finish in acrylics or maybe oil pastels since I haven't work with them for a while. 

I'm still battling this crazy sinus thing and have no energy for much of anything. My eyes are even more sunken and dark than the ones in the last sketch. Not a real good look for me.

29 Faces Feb 2014

Fighting another sinus infection here so I haven't been posting every day.... I have pretty much kept up only 1 behind. 

Here are Faces 7, 8, and 9... 

Day 7 is done with Prisma colored pencils ...

Day 8 is spray inks and acrylic paints with gel pen outlines...

Day 9 is a WIP with spary inks, acrylic paints, silk ribbons and then will do some kind of quote with gel pens....looking for the quote that strikes my fancy..
