29 Faces in September #14 - #16

Still struggling with the vision problems here, but they are getting better. So I'm working on backgrounds mostly at this point. Doing things in reverse of my normal routines. We'll see how this turns out.  :)

I haven't decided what to do with her hair so she is still a sketch . Thought I'd try ears again.  

# 15 

I'm loving her hair so far and can't wait to start adding more details to her. I didn't apply enough masking fluid to the facial area so some of the inks and paints bled through but I think it will work out ok in the end.

#16 

With this one I have no idea where I am going. I'm sure that by the time I get to her I will have come up with something . 

I worked outside again on Sunday and made the bees angry again. Four stings this time :( The little buggers are fierce this year. But I stuck it out and managed to get one very overgrown flowerbed cleared out all pretty again. Thinned out enough plants to start another bed somewhere. Just have to decide where I want to be attacked next . LOL!

29 Faces in Sept 2013 and Paint Party Friday

Getting something painted this weekend turned into a major challenge. Between the cataracts, the cornea inflammation and allergies I can barely see. I wanted to really do a lot more shading on her face and better details around the eyes ...but this is as good as it gets for now. 

Hopefully I'll be able to get some more eye drops tomorrow :) Then I can work on the other 4 rough sketches I have started .

29 Faces in September #12

It's Day # 12 already....WOW!! 

Today was a good day for art for me :) My second day in a row off from work and all rested up. Today I was in the mood to  paint so I chose a sketch from the Feb. challenge  that I didn't complete :( Here's what it looked like then ...

Kind of light so I hope you can see it .... but once the paint started going on it got bold :) 

I was definitely in the mood for color today. If you click on the picture you should be able to see the doodles in her hair more . 

When she was done I wasn't ready to stop so I started the sketch for tomorrows face. 

Wondering where this one will end up going ? 

For now I really do have things to get done around the house so I had better tear myself away from all of this fun and get to it !

29 Faces in September 2013 # 10 and #11

Getting into the groove here finally :) with 

face # 10 is a sketch in my art journal with a a background started. Just in case I decide to go ahead and paint the face. 

Decided to give ears a shot while I was at it...

Face #11 is a rework of a face from way back when that I did with my non dominant hand. Was never happy with it and now I can live with it. While I was working on it this morning the song from the Doors kept going through my mind so I added the lyrics.

 The compass stencil is a new toy from StencilGirl Products

29 Faces in September Faces 6-9

Things have gotten slightly out of hand around here...as normal. 

Inventory at work ..remodeling project at home and a few other things have kept me away from art and the computer. 

So here's a little cheater page to sorta keep me caught up with things :) 
I promise to do better and maybe even some extra faces...I did say maybe :)

Paint Party Friday and 29 Faces in September

Starting to get into the swing if this art everyday thing again :)  Kinda feels good after such a dry spell . 

Today is Face #5

..... so I'm only one day behind which is where I started since it took me forever to make up my mind to do it . 

Another page in my art journal with a painted background. Still stuck on the bee sting story as you can see. Today the bees were not as hostile..but then again I didn't get as close as I normally do either :) I also did another "tint blob"  and drew an imaginary bird creature. This was a little more fun than the giant hairdo. :)

He started out as a swirl of bright colors on white paper. I cut out the shape and glued it to a page in the journal and then went crazy with the white pen. I kinda get the feeling that he's a deep thinker so I added the quote on Happiness. 

So now it's bed time around here so I'll catch ya all later.

I'm Doing 29 Faces in September ..Well Sort of Maybe...At Least I'm Going to Try # 4

Yesterday definitely wasn't my day.... or at least not one of my better ones . 

Work was a "ZOO" and I swear people took a double dose of "cranky pills" before heading out to shop. 

It was oh so hard not to start slapping on the shock collars and pressing that "ZAP" button full blast :) 

Just a little mental visual I use to cope with stressful customers. 

After arriving home I wondered out to the flower garden where the bees were feeding frantically on the Moon Flowers. They obviously did not enjoy my company because 3 of the little monsters decided to chase me away and leave their stingers in my body :(  Which really surprised me because bees and I usually get along together very well. 

So after all of that frustration the only art I got done was a simple pencil sketch.

Hopefully tonight will be more productive .
